Mountain Bike Skills Magazine

Magazine_strap_edited2Mountain Bike Skills Magazine is the place to stop for reviews, ride guides and a host of stories about life on and around the mountain biking trails of the North.

Edited by Clare Cook, it looks at the human face behind what is a hugely popular sport - which is seeing a huge increase in popularity in the UK.

Howgills_2 Recent scoops include an exclusive interview with guide writer extraordinaire Jon Barton, an interview with the chap who has had to learn to ride with one arm, and the lad who says riding has saved him from a life of drugs and crime.

We also cover all the latest breaking news about trails in Rivington and have launched a campaign to save access to the area. The petition currently has around 150 signatures.

Arty Riding open countryside around the Howgills and West Pennines has to be enjoyable for everyone, and we are staunch advocates of everyone learning to ride within their capabilities to be safe and have fun. Mountain Bike Skills is one of the leading providers of mountain bike skills courses in the North West with three skills centres.

Mike_howgills Final_logo Beginner, intermediate and advanced rides set off from Rivington, the Howgills and Kentmere in the Lake District up to three times a week. Instructor Mike Stafford has been running the courses for more than a decade alongside our sister company Mountain Bike Instruction.

Log on to the magazine or sign up for the feed to make sure you don't miss out, or contact Mike to organise a hugely enjoyable skills course on 0797 1275184.
